On the Touch

Anyone else manage to catch this show starring Kiefer “Jack Bauer” Sutherland earlier this year?  So glad it’s been picked up for a second season!  And that the US networks are learning from the big subscription networks like HBO – in that it’s a short series (12 episodes).

This show is feel good TV at it’s best.  Boasting a plot that you have to decide to go with very early on if you are going to enjoy it, the series centres around the autistic son of Martin Bohm (Sutherland).  The boy has never spoken a word, nor does he let anyone touch him, but he has a gift.  He is able to predict events which are linked (they happen around the world but there is always something linking them).  How does he predict them?  Maths!

Bohm, a former journalist, has to work out what the mathematic patterns mean and save the day – there is usually a life affirming moral to the tale and in this regard reminds me slightly of Quantum Leap – and I for one an happy to take the leap of faith and say I love this show!

Below Kiefer speaks to Chris Moyles about the show and the movie I can’t wait to see go into production “24”
